The unique nature of polyurethane makes it very diversified material. By varying its composition the product can be produced from very soft used for the insoles production to very solid used for ladies footwear platform-soles. Density may be also varied over a wide range. Polyurethane is an indispensable material when it is required to produce soles of sophisticated design and large thickness. An important feature of polyurethane is its high productivity. With the proper selection of equipment, models and PU systems, productivity of several thousand pairs per day is all too real.
Low consumption of raw materials, high productivity, excellent appearance and high wear resistance make polyurethane much more economical material for the production of slippers or sandals than, for example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Ultimately the cost of footwear with PU soles is much lower, although the polyurethane price is higher than that of PVC.
