On June 29, 2018, Dow Izolan participated in the official opening of two new facilities (a sports ground for wrestling and a social hostel) in Lukhtonovo School for orphans, near the city of Vladimir. The event was dedicated to the 5-year jubilee of collaboration between Dow Izolan and the educational orphanage.
Dow Izolan has been annually providing help to Lukhtonovo orphanage since 2013. The Company purchased new equipment for education of the children with articulation disorders, furniture, household appliances and other items. Last year Dow Izolan financed the construction of the sports grounds for mini-football and for wrestling and arranged repair works to create a social hostel for its graduates to visit the orphanage. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by friendly school sports day activities with Dow Izolan employees’ and Lukhtonovo students’ participation.
Since the Company foundation, apart from business development, we’ve been committed to the community development of our region. We are focused on contributing our resources to the future growth of the younger generation. We believe that sport helps children to achieve new highs and demonstrate their strong skills. Participation in sport competitions enables them to visit new towns and find new friends. We are proud to see significant outcome of our help. For example, during the Russian Championship on judo the children showcased the great results achieving four gold, three silver and one bronze medals. Moreover, four students of the educational orphanage are members of the Russian National Judo Team and six ones are members of the Russian National Football Team.Mikhail Tsarfin, president of Dow Izolan
Last year we contributed a lot to strengthening our relationships with the orphans. I would highlight that a personal and human attitude is much more important than material values. Every year Dow Izolan employees volunteer to take part in social projects of the Company to realize their social potential and enjoy their time with the orphans. I am sure we’ll increase our cooperation as the children’s socialization is one of the most valuable factors of their development. Along with the investments in sports, we keep an eye on the graduates to help them in their future. Therefore, we donated to social hostel — a place where a graduate can come back and ask for a piece of advice, help and support.Sergey Anikin, general manager of Dow Izolan.
